GURO ART

The Guro Tribe lives in center Ivory Coast. They are known to be the best sculptors in West Africa. These Masks are the Guto Hearthlaand, and each one is a unique piece. The Guro Masks are famous among the connoisseurs and are separated in three (3) differents types:

Zamble : this mask dances at all events
Bou : it dances in praise of the Goda for good hunt, crops, rain. etc.
Zahouli : it dances only at the important events for the sacred Zahouli dance.
